Beth and Alex both came through the Signature Programme before training as coaches. We've seen how many people in our community quietly want to support others the way they've been supported. So we're building a way to do it properly.
The Vet Empowered Coaching Qualification
A coaching qualification built for vetmed
Our qualification trains veterinary professionals to coach colleagues in their own workplace, with ongoing supervision from a qualified supervisor. It's for the people others already turn to, whether you're a vet, a vet nurse, or in a technical or management role.
- 01Mainly online, with pre-recorded content, live sessions and assignments
- 02A small first cohort, and it counts towards your CPD
- 03Supervision included, plus resources and sessions you can run afterwards
- 04Led by Katie and Claire, with a wider tutor team and guest experts to come
First cohort planned for spring 2027. You'll receive a certificate on completion.

Coaching, not therapy. The training is trauma-informed, but it isn't therapy, counselling, crisis support or trauma processing, and it isn't designed as a route to starting an independent coaching business. It sits alongside Vetlife, practice EAPs, occupational health and GPs, not in place of them.
What you'll learn
- Coaching colleagues inside your own team, including consent, confidentiality and knowing when not to be the coach
- Trauma-informed practice, as a way of being rather than a technique
- Recognising when a conversation has moved beyond coaching
- Signposting to support such as Vetlife, your practice EAP, occupational health or a GP
After you qualify
- A certificate of completion
- Ongoing supervision from a qualified coaching supervisor
- Materials and ready-made sessions to run in your workplace
- The option to join our list of Vet Empowered qualified coaches
- It counts towards your CPD
Your tutors
Katie and Claire lead the course. Katie has been coaching for nearly ten years and Claire for nearly seven, alongside a wider tutor team and guest experts.
