Hormone-Friendly VetMed mastermind
Hormones, Wellbeing, and Veterinary Workplaces
ConferenceFriday 20 November 2026, 14:30 - 15:30. Gallery Suite 6, London Vet Show, ExCeL London.
Hormonal health affects a significant part of the veterinary workforce, whether that's PMS, PMDD, PME, perimenopause, menopause or other hormonal experiences. Yet the profession has had very little space to talk about any of it. This mastermind is a conversation, not a lecture. What has actually helped? What has made clinical life harder? What do you wish your practice knew, offered or understood? What's missing from the resources that exist? What you share in the room will directly shape the next free resources in the Hormone-Friendly VetMed resource bank.

Is it ADHD, perimenopause, or both?
A session for veterinary professionals
Free onlineHormone-Friendly VetMedSaturday 28 November 2026, 10am (UK time), online
We're delighted to welcome Dr Helena Tucker back to Vet Empowered for this session. This is the next in our ongoing initiative to create a more hormone-friendly vetmed.
For veterinary professionals going through perimenopause, the strategies that carried them through training and practice can stop working. Memory, focus, sleep and emotional regulation shift, and it can be hard to know whether this is perimenopause, ADHD that has been masked for years, or both.
In this session
- Why ADHD traits often become more noticeable in perimenopause, and the role of changing oestrogen levels
- Where the two overlap, where they differ, and why so many people are diagnosed late
- Practical next steps, including what to ask your GP and how to adapt your working day in clinical practice
